The new Dublin Theatre in the heart of the Grand Canal Dock Development holds 2,111 seats. It was opened in March 2010 and is the first construction project in Ireland to be equipped with Vogl acoustic design ceilings.
The development was designed by Studio Libeskind. It is considered the cultural flagship of Ireland's capital and bears the Libeskind signature with its striking ionic geometric cuts through the structure and the envelope of the building and repeating themselves through the ceilings of the German manufacturer Vogl Deckensysteme.

Vogl's user-friendly ceiling system allowed the dry construction specialist to install a perfect, seamless finish in a fast, efficient and cost-saving manner without using filler. The installed access panels maintain aesthetics and performance in the perforated ceiling while providing access to services above for inspection and maintenance. The ceiling manufacturer offers a great variety of ceiling systems that are both visually attractive and practical with high performance in terms of acoustic requirements.
