Truly close to our heart - The “Children of Fire” project / 08.12.2023

This Christmas – just like in the years before –
we support the above charity with a donation.

Since 2000, a team of orthopaedic specialists, anaesthetists, surgical nurses, physiotherapists and an orthopaedic technician have been travelling to the north of Tanzania up to three times a year.

Their destination is the Nkoaranga hospital near the city of Arusha. The team provide children and young people with free surgery for limb deformities resulting from burn scars. Along with the "children of fire", patients with congenital abnormalities such as club foot or pronounced bow legs and knock knees also receive treatment.
